Induces endothelial cell proliferation, promotes cell migration, inhibits apoptosis and induces permeabilization of blood vessels. Binds to the FLT1/VEGFR1 and KDR/VEGFR2 receptors, heparan sulfate and heparin. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa27-190 from porcine Vascular endothelial growth factor A, fused to His-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
