Active in the extracellular space, its human orthologs are linked to asthma and respiratory syncytial virus disease. IL-9 expression is biased, notably in testes (RPKM 6.4) and thymus (RPKM 1.0), suggesting involvement in immune and respiratory processes. IL-9 Protein, Rat (sf9, His) is the recombinant rat-derived IL-9 protein, expressed by Sf9 insect cells , with C-His labeled tag.
