Assay Principle

The kit contains recombinant Factor C, a genetically engineered protein that specifically recognizes endotoxins (lipopolysaccharides, LPS) from Gram-negative bacteria. If endotoxin is present in the sample, it binds to and activates recombinant Factor C. The activated Factor C cleaves a fluorogenic substrate included in the kit resulting in a fluorescent signal. The fluorescence intensity is directly proportional to the endotoxin concentration and is quantified using a calibration curve.

Sample Requirements: 100 µl/well

Storage/Expiration: Store the complete kit at 2 - 8 °C. Under these conditions, all components are stable until the expiration date (see label on the box). High stability of endotoxin standard after reconstitution: endotoxin standard can be stored at 4℃ for 8 weeks after reconstitution.

Calibration Range: 0,005 - 5 EU/ml

Limit of Detection: less than 0,005 EU/ml

Intra-assay (Within-Run): less than CV =5%

Inter-assay (Run-to-Run): less than CV =10%
