Produktbeschreibung
This product is an F(ab')2 fragment derived from the anti-mouse CD5 antibody clone 53-7.3 (also known as 53-7.313). CD5 is a 65 kDa lymphoid-specific glycoprotein expressed on T cells and a subset of B cells known as B1a cells. It plays a role in the regulation of T cell receptor (TCR) and B cell receptor (BCR) signaling, thymocyte selection, T cell differentiation, and immune tolerance. Unlike a full-length antibody, this F(ab')2 fragment contains two antigen-binding regions linked by disulfide bonds and lacks the Fc domain. This format retains specific binding to CD5 while eliminating Fc-mediated effector functions such as Fcgamma receptor engagement and Fc-dependent complement activation. Because F(ab')2 fragments are bivalent, they retain the ability to cross-link CD5 and may influence receptor signaling. This format is useful in experiments where CD5 targeting or receptor engagement is desired without Fc-mediated immune interactions or depletion. Anti-CD5 F(ab')2 fragments may also be explored as targeting components for nanoparticles or other delivery systems directed toward CD5-expressing cells. This anti-mouse CD5 F(ab')2 fragment therefore provides a useful reagent for studies of CD5 receptor engagement, lymphocyte signaling, and targeted delivery approaches where Fc-mediated effects are undesirable.
