LC3, a mammalian homologue of yeast ATG8, is a soluble protein that is distributed ubiquitously in mammalian tissues and cultured cells. LC3 has been studied most extensively and is frequently used as an autophagy marker in mammals. This LC3 antibody is validated for multiple applications (WB, IHC, ICC and IP) and has over 85 citations, including in research papers with more than 1,000 citations (Saitoh T et al. Loss of the autophagy protein Atg16L1 enhances endotoxin-induced IL-1beta production. Nature 456, 264-8 (2008)). This is a polyclonal antibody of 100 ul that is raised in rabbit and is reactive with human, hamster, mouse, rat. |
