Product Description Recombinant human ADAR1 (p150) (2-1226) was expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal His tag. The gene accession number is NM_001111.
Scientific Background Adenosine deaminases acting on RNA (ADARs) are enzymes that catalyze the chemical conversion of denosines to inosines in double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) substrates. ADAR1 (p150) is an interferon-inducible enzyme that catalyzes the chemical conversion of adenosines to inosines in double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) substrates. ADAR1 has 2 isoforms (p150 and p110) and each are localized to different parts of the cell dictated by different localization sequences on the proteins (1). Biologically, ADAR1 (p150) is critical for development, immune homeostasis, and neural function. Dysregulation of ADAR1 is linked to autoimmune disorders, viral replication, and tumor progression (2). Its role in modulating immune responses and RNA editing makes it a promising target in cancer immunotherapy and inflammatory disease treatments.
Formulation Recombinant protein stored 50mM sodium phosphate, pH 7.0, 300mM NaCl, 150mM imidazole, 0.25mM DTT, 25% glycerol.
Storage and Stability Store product at –70oC. For optimal storage, aliquot target into smaller quantities after centrifugation and store at recommended temperature. For most favorable performance, avoid repeated handling and multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
