CD54 is expressed by many cells following activation by inflammatory mediators. It is a 505 amino acid with an additional 27 amino acid signal peptide ~90kD single pass type I transmembrane glycoprotein bearing 5 Ig-like C2-type domains domains. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Functional Studies. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: Use 10ul to label 10e6 cells in 100ul. Functional Studies: Reported to block CD54 function. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: Sp2/O-Ag14 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
