Sekundärantikörper sind meist Anti-Spezies-Antikörper gegen den Wirt, in welchem der Primärantikörper generiert wurde, und üblicherweise mit einem Farbstoff oder Enzym gekoppelt, um die Anwesenheit des detektierten Antigens in der Probe sichtbar zu machen.
