LipoMin™ extracellular vesicle (EV) purification
Reliance Biosciences specializes in extracellular vesicle (EV) isolation and biomarker development for the early detection of cancer and neurodegenerative diseases using plasma- or serum-derived EVs. Their proprietary LipoMin™ reagent enables highly efficient EV purification from size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) or ultracentrifugation (UC)-processed samples. By leveraging functionalized magnetic beads, LipoMin™ removes the majority of residual lipoprotein particles in just 10 minutes, significantly improving EV purity.
A recent ACS publication (PMID: 39149774) demonstrated LipoMin’s effectiveness:
- For SEC-purified EV fractions, LipoMin™ eliminated 98.2% of ApoB while retaining 93.0% of EVs.
- For resuspended UC pellets, LipoMin™ removed 76.5% of ApoA1 while preserving 90.7% of EVs.
