Human embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells are the stem cells of teratocarcinomas, and they are key components of germ cell tumors (GCTs). Embryonal carcinoma, as do all human pluripotent stem cells, expresses TRA-1-60 and TRA-1-81 antigens, and although their molecular identities are unknown, they are commonly used as markers of undifferentiated pluripotent human stem cells. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunofluorescence. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10-20ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control: Human embryonic stem cells Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
