Synthetic peptide selected from the Center region of human IMPDH2 (KLH).
IMPDH2 is the rate-limiting enzyme in the de novo guanine nucleotide biosynthesis. It is thus involved in maintaining cellular guanine deoxy- and ribonucleotide pools needed for DNA and RNA synthesis. The protein catalyzes the NAD-dependent oxidation of inosine-5-monophosphate into xanthine-5-monophosphate, which is then converted into guanosine-5-monophosphate. Its gene is up-regulated in some neoplasms, suggesting it may play a role in malignant transformation. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:1,000 Western Blot: 1:50-1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
