PSD95 (postsynaptic density 95) represent a class of anchoring proteins which serve to localize various neuronal ion channels to post-synaptic densities. PSD95 and related proteins contain PDZ domains, which interact with NMDA receptors and voltage-gated K+ channels via a ET/SXV motif in the cytoplasmic carboxyl terminus of the receptor channels. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Western Blot and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications have not been tested. Recommended Dilutions: Western Blot: 0.5ug/ml detects PSD95 on 10ug of rat brain tissue lysate. Rat brain lysate was probed with N5380-25. Proteins were visualized using an IgG (HRP) goat anti-mouse and a chemiluminescence detection system. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500 detects PSD95 in rat cortex tissue. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Positive Control: Rat brain tissue lysate Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
