This antibody was generated from renal mononuclear, Ab-producing cells (AbPCs) derived from diseased MRL/pr mouse kidneys. MRL/pr mice spontanously develop an automimmune syndrome associated with autoantibody production, and act as models of human systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
