The VHH was generated by immunising alpacas with inactivated vesicular stomatitis virus and extracting RNA from peripheral blood lymphocytes. From the extracted RNA a lentiviral plasmid VHH library was established and A549 cells transduced with lentiviral particles. The transduced A549 cells were then subject to lethal doses of VSV virus, and VHH-1004 was identified from this virus challenge.
