This single-pass membrane protein is highly glycosylated and phosphorylated by protein kinase C. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Flow cytometry:1X10 6 Human PBMC were surface-stained with FITC Rabbit anti-Human/Monkey CD45 mAb (A26186,5 µl/Test) and ABflo450 Rabbit IgG isotype control (A27451,5 µl/Test,left) or ABflo 450 Rabbit anti-Human CD34 mAb (A27868,5 µl/Test,right). Cells in the lymphocyte gate were used for analysis.
