Human Notch-3 is part of the Notch family of type I transmembrane glycoproteins involved in a number of early-event developmental processes. The extracellular domain of Notch receptors interact with the extracellular domain of transmembrane ligands Jagged, Delta, and Serrate expressed on the surface of a neighboring cell. Upon ligand activation through the released notch intracellular domain (NICD) it forms a transcriptional activator complex with RBPJ/RBPSUH and activates genes of the enhancer of split locus. Cross-Reactivity: Centrifuge the tube before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid vortex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage,it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA,5% HSA,10% FBS or 5% Trehalose),and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles.
