Tumor necrosis factor ligand superfamily member 9 (41BBL) is also known as 41BB ligand, CD137L or TNFSF9, which is a cytokine that binds to TNFRSF9. 41BBL is the high affinity ligand of 41BB. 41BBL induces the proliferation of activated peripheral blood Tcells. Also, 41BBL may have a role in activationinduced cell death (AICD). Furthermore, 41BBL may play a role in cognate interactions between Tcells and Bcells/macrophages.
