Daunorubicin (Daunomycin) HCl is a topoisomerase II inhibitor, inhibits both DNA and RNA synthesis and inhibits DNA synthesis with Ki of 0.02 µM. Daunorubicin hydrochloride is a cytotoxin that inhibits cancer cell viability and induces apoptosis and necrosis. Daunorubicin hydrochloride is also an anthracycline antibiotic.
