IL-34 is a cytokine that promotes monocyte and macrophage differentiation and viability via colony-stimulating factor-1 receptor (CSF1R). The ED50 is 50-200 ng/mL as measured in a cell proliferation assay using M-NFS-60 mouse bone marrow cells.
