Thimet Oligopeptidase (THOP1) is involved in the metabolism of neuropeptides under 20 amino acid residues and degradation of cytoplasmic peptide. In addition, THOP1 also can degrade the beta-amyloid precursor protein and generate amyloidogenic fragments.
