Cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) binds GM1 ganglioside. Fluorescent CTB is used to label lipid rafts and as a neuronal retrograde tracer. Biotiums CF dyes have superior brightness and photostability compared to other dyes. Blue fluorescent CF405M dye has excitation/emission at 408/452 nm.
