NF-kappaB Repressing Factor (NKRF) is a constitutively expressed transcription factor that binds to the negative regulatory element within the promotor region of many genes that are transactivated by NF-kappaB (1). Indeed, research studies have found NKRF to repress transcription of IL-8/CXCL8, iNOS, CXCL10, and IFN-gamma (2-4). In addition to regulating the expression of pro-inflammatory factors, NKRF has been shown to play a role in cell survival in the context of proteotoxic stress, through the regulation of rRNA processing and ribosome biogenesis (5).
The antibody was affinity-purified from mouse ascites fluids or tissue culture supernatant by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen and the purity is > 95% (by SDS-PAGE).
