Ac-YVAD-CHO acetate is a potent and specific caspase-1 (ICE) inhibitor with sub-nanomolar affinity, effectively blocking mature IL-1beta production. It is widely used in vitro to study pyroptosis and inflammasome biology, and in vivo within murine models of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
