Maximin H39, an antimicrobial peptide, exhibits antibacterial activity against C. albicans, S. aureus, and B. subtilis with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of 9.4, 9.4, and 18.8 µg/mL, respectively. It also demonstrates hemolytic activities against human and rabbit red cells.
