Bostrycin is a natural anthraquinone with broad-spectrum bioactivity, including antibacterial effects against MRSA and M. tuberculosis, as well as antiproliferative action against A549 lung cancer cells in vitro. It also functions as a phytotoxin and a cross-linking agent for protein immobilization.
