Rifabutin-d7 is a deuterated derivative of the semisynthetic ansamycin antibiotic Rifabutin (CAS 72559-06-9). It potently inhibits bacterial DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, blocking RNA synthesis. This compound is widely used in antimicrobial research, including in vitro susceptibility assays and in vivo models of mycobacterial infection.
