It induces apoptosis through oxidative stress by stimulating the production of reactive oxygen species, reducing intracellular thiols, and lowering the glutathione/glutathione disulfide ratio. TrxR-IN-8 exhibits significant cytotoxicity against non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells.
