CD194 is a G-protein-coupled seven membrane-spanning transmembrane protein serving as a high affinity receptor for C-C type chemokines TARC (CCL17) and MDC (CCL22), and as a coreceptor for HIV. It is expressed by all CLA+ T cells regardless of their Th1 or Th2 phenotype, on activated Th2, Treg, and activated NK cells, basophils and macrophages. Blocking CD194 function can be used for treatment of inflammation.
