• Anwendungsbeschreibung: Cercosporamide (131436-22-1) is a natural product isolated from Cercosporidium henningsii and shown to have antifungal activity.1 It was found to be a potent inhibitor of MAP kinase interacting kinase (Mnk1 IC50=116 nM and Mnk2 IC50=11 nM), with selectivity against a panel of 76 kinases (at 20 µM) with the exception of JAK3 (IC50=31 nM).2 It effectively blocks eIF4E phosphorylation both in vitro and in vivo and induces apoptosis in multiple cancer cell lines.2 It enhances the response to antiangiogenic drugs in renal cell carcinoma3 and overcomes chemoresistance in cervical cancer4.
