Asimadoline hydrochloride has low permeability across the blood brain barrier and has peripheral anti-inflammatory actions. Asimadoline hydrochloride ameliorates allodynia in diabetic rats and has the potential for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)[1][2][3].
