Umbelliprenin, a prenylated coumarin, is an antioxidant with anticancer, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory effects. Umbelliprenin inhibits lipoxygenase managing the inflammation pathways. In inflammatory macrophages, Umbelliprenin suppresses nitric oxide production as well as inducible nitric oxide synthase (NO synthase)[1].
