Imetelstat induces Apoptosis. Imetelstat is capable of selectively eliminating myelofibrosis hematopoietic stem cells. Imetelstat leads to the loss of a cancer cells ability to maintain telomere length, resulting in the inhibition of cell proliferation[1][2].
