Oltipraz metabolite M2 increases mitochondrial fuel oxidation and inhibits lipogenesis in the liver by dually activating AMPK in high-fat diet (HFD)-fed mice. Oltipraz metabolite M2 can be used for hepatic steatosis and steatohepatitis research[1][2].
