The adrenergic activity of Besipirdine (hydrochloride) involves stimulating norepinephrine release, which is attributed to the inhibition of presynaptic alpha2-adrenergic receptors and the inhibition of norepinephrine uptake. Besipirdine (hydrochloride) may be used in research for Alzheimers disease[1].
