Mn007 is a small compound and its aggregate is DNase I inhibitor with an IC50 of 45 µM against bovine pancreatic DNase I. Mn007 inhibits Streptococcus pyogenes-secreted DNase via direct enzyme interaction, with aggregation required for bovine pancreatic DNase I inhibition and no metal chelation or DNA substrate involvement.Mn007 suppresses Streptococcus pyogenes growth in human whole blood by preventing neutrophil extracellular trap degradation. Mn007 can be used for the research of streptococcal toxic shock syndrome[1].
