GCS-12 is a Th1/2-balanced sulfonamide glycolipid with improved interaction with CD1d. GCS-12 is an agonist for natural killer T (NKT) cell, that induces the secretion of cytokine IFN-gamma and IL-4, and exhibits immunomodulatory and anti-tumor activities in mice[1].
