DTUN is a lipophilic hyponitrite radical initiator. DTUN decomposes to form lipophilic alkoxyl radicals that initiate phospholipid peroxidation in liposomal egg phosphatidylcholine. DTUN can be used as a tool for research of ferroptosis[1].
