GaSal-2 is a water-soluble anti-pseudomonal agent that targets the extracellular hemocyte HasAp. It binds tightly to HasAp, blocks the transcriptional activation of the bacterial cell surface signaling cascade, and inhibits the growth of Pseudomonas aeruginosa[1].
