Spectinomycin dihydrochloride acts by selectively targeting to the bacterial ribosome and interrupting protein synthesis. Spectinomycin dihydrochloride is also a noncompetitive inhibitor of td intron RNA with an Ki value of 7.2 mM[1]-[5].
