Cefmetazole binds to penicillin binding proteins (PBPs), resulting in interfering bacterial cell wall biosynthesis. Cefmetazole is used for the research of gynecologic, intraabdominal, urinary tract, respiratory tract and skin and soft tissue infections[1][2][3].
