Cyclooxygenase 1 has three domains, the epidermal growth factor (EGF) like domain, enzymatic and membrane binding domain. Cyclooxygenase 1 mediates prostaglandin synthesis and is modulated by anti-inflammatory nonsteroidal drugs[1].
