Proinsulin C-peptide (human) increases the deformability of erythrocytes derived from type 1 diabetes, inhibits insulin-induced neointimal thickening, and suppresses the proliferation of rat aortic smooth muscle cells cultured under high-glucose conditions[1][2][3].
