BMX proteins are nonreceptor tyrosine kinases that centrally regulate various signaling pathways that control actin dynamics, migration, proliferation, and survival. BMX participates in signal transduction of multiple receptors such as integrins, growth factor receptors, and cytokine receptors, induces BCAR1 tyrosine phosphorylation, and plays a key role in TNF-induced angiogenesis.
