The EPHA8 protein is a receptor tyrosine kinase that promiscuously binds to the GPI-anchored ephrin-A ligand to initiate bidirectional signaling. It participates in forward and reverse signaling pathways and is phosphorylated by ligands such as EFNA2, EFNA3, and EFNA5.
