PD-L1 Protein, Canine (HEK293, Fc) is a trans-membrane protein that is considered to be a co-inhibitory factor of the immune response. The amino acid sequence of PD-L1 is encoded by 7 exons, which form a protein of ~40 kDa. PD-L1 is a type I transmembrane protein, is part of the immunoglobulin (Ig) superfamily and is composed of IgV-like and IgC-like extracellular domains, a hydrophobic transmembrane domain and a short cytoplasmic tail composed of 30 amino acids. PD-L1 can combine with PD-1 to reduce the proliferation of PD-1 positive cells, inhibit their cytokine secretion and induce apoptosis. PD-L1 also plays an important role in various malignancies where it can attenuate the host immune response to tumor cells[1][2]. PD-L1 Protein, Canine (HEK293, Fc) is the recombinant canine-derived PD-L1 protein, expressed by HEK293 , with C-hFc labeled tag.
