The RAC2 protein is a plasma membrane-associated small GTPase that dynamically regulates cellular responses by cycling between an active GTP-bound state and an inactive GDP-bound state. In its active state, RAC2 regulates secretory function, phagocytosis, and epithelial cell polarization.
