UNC5B is a netrin-1-dependent receptor. It negatively regulates vascular branching during angiogenesis. In addition, UNC5B protects myelin and partially alleviates injury-induced neuropathic pain (NP). UNC5B is involved in the guidance of axons and the positive regulation of exogenous apoptosis signaling pathways without binding to netrin-1.
