It has high specificity for endothelial cells, performs various other regulatory activities to affect inflammation, and has been proved to have atherosclerosis promoting and atherosclerosis protective effects. NGPTL3/Angiopoietin-like 3 can also inhibit the activity of lipoprotein lipase and induce angiogenesis.
