2-Chloro-2-deoxy-D-glucose, a 2-substituted Glucose (HY-B0389) analogue. 2-Chloro-2-deoxy-D-glucose inhibits the growth of P. falciparum. 2-Chloro-2-deoxy-D-glucose inhibits phosphorylation of [14C]2-deoxy-D-glucose by parasite hexokinase, induces trophozoite cytosol acidification, reduces [14C]2-deoxy-D-glucose uptake. 2-Chloro-2-deoxy-D-glucose can be used for the research of malaria[1][2].
