Produktbeschreibung

Tetrodecamycin is an acyltetronate alkyl ether antibiotic derived from the genus Streptomyces, with broad-spectrum bacterial growth inhibitory activity. Tetrodecamycin effectively inhibits various Gram-positive bacteria (including methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus anthracis, etc.) and Gram-negative bacteria (such as Escherichia coli, Xanthomonas oryzae and Pasteurella piscicida), but exerts no significant effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Mycobacterium and various fungi. Tetrodecamycin shows obvious toxicity to mice at a dose of 100 mg/kg. Tetrodecamycin is mainly used for studying bacterial inhibition mechanisms and screening novel antibacterial lead compounds[1].
